About

Passionate cybersecurity researcher and IT professional with a strong academic foundation in Computer and Network Engineering. Experienced in network security evaluation, risk analysis, and intrusion detection systems, with hands-on expertise in configuring advanced security infrastructures.

Currently serving as IT Officer at Jordan Industrial Ports Company since November 2017, delivering robust solutions for large-scale enterprise networks. Over seven years on the front lines of enterprise IT, now channelled into doctoral research that pushes the state of the art in autonomous cybersecurity reasoning.

My MSc thesis proposed a collaborative trust-evaluation algorithm for internal network security, dynamically partitioning computers into trusted and untrusted zones based on multi-dimensional security metrics. My published work Cyber-MEDS (2025) achieved 95.11% accuracy in malicious email detection using Random Forest on the Spambase dataset.

Committed to advancing cybersecurity through innovative research, practical implementation, and academic contribution. Highly recommended for PhD studies by two senior faculty referees.

MSc Thesis · Al-Hussein Bin Talal University · 2023
Trust Build: Collaborative Security Evaluation in Computer Networks
Proposed an innovative algorithm that evaluates the trustworthiness of individual computers within internal networks using collaborative security metrics — Workstation/Laptop Indicators, User Indicators, and Network Indicators (open ports). The algorithm dynamically partitions computers into trusted/untrusted zones and updates trust scores in response to evolving threats, enabling proactive restriction of access to shared network resources.

Cyber-MEDS: Malicious Email Detection for Spam — A Framework for Web Security Against Cyber Attacks
Muhammad Yasir Shabir, Nour Ali Eid ALHomaidat, Afshan Ahmed, Muhammad Nazir
International Journal for Electronic Crime Investigation (IJECI) · Volume 9, Issue 2 · 2025
Designed a practical and efficient framework for spam/phishing email classification using multiple ML techniques (Random Forest, Gaussian Naive Bayes, MLP, Gradient Boosting, KNN) on the public Spambase dataset with Min-Max scaling. The Random Forest model achieved best overall performance: 95.11% accuracy · 95.89% precision · 91.34% recall · 93.56% F1-score — demonstrating that lightweight, carefully tuned models can provide a reliable early layer of defence in email security.
